Flame Health Dentistry - Dental Hygienist Job - Matlock Area, Derbyshire

Are you an experienced, qualified or newly qualified Hygienist looking for a new opportunity to expand your skills and experience within private dentistry in a friendly, forward thinking, successful dental practice in the Derbyshire area? If so this well run four surgery, dental practice to the North of Derby would like to hear from you.

This predominantly private practice is currently looking for a hygienist to work two days per week with the opportunity to progress to further days if required. The practice is a specialist referral centre providing a variety of cosmetic work such as tooth whitening, implants and veneers for private patients and oral surgery for NHS patients who have been referred to the practice for treatment. The practice is fully computerised, well equipped and maintained throughout.

This busy practice currently has a motivated team of 6 dentists and 4 dental nurses providing a high standard of patient care. Within this position you will be required to work alongside this successful team working with purely private patients to a variety of appointment times on a self employed basis.

You will be required to provide specific oral hygiene advice through the development of home care plans for individual patients. Give specific advice including advice on the use of fluoride agents, the benefits of smoking cessation and potential change within the mouth relating to medical history and treatments. Demonstrate, teach and monitor comprehensive oral hygiene/plaque control measures to enable patients to take an active and crucial role in treatment and perform scaling and polishing of teeth.
